South Development Day 2025

What are the Regional Development Days?

Here at the BGDA, we acknowledge that there are many schools in the wider Brisbane area unable to access our Monday competition and other events due to location. As our mission is to make debating accessible to as many girls as possible, we have created our Regional Development Days (Brisbane North and Brisbane South), to open our programs up to girls who otherwise would not be able to experience the benefits of the BGDA. These days will function similarly to what was previously known as our Development Day  but will also cater to girls who have no debating experience.

Brisbane South Development Day

South Development Day is a brilliant way for students in grade 7 to 12 to brush up on their debating skills for the 2025 season. It is suitable for debaters with all levels of experience, giving participants the opportunity to receive training and feedback from some of Queensland's most experienced adjudicators.

Registration for this event is totally free, with the BGDA's generous sponsors covering the costs of all meals and adjudications.

Date: Saturday 22nd February, 2025
Time: 9am-3pm
Location: TBC
